Having the same problem mate , was only at dentist last Fri for fillings so I know it's not that but my entire mouth has been killing since Monday. A mate informed me it could be the turn of temperature causing it. Around 7ish it gets worse.

I've had a wisdom tooth out on the other side and it didn't feel quite like this (more of a dull ache than sore like a cut), so I'm kind of hoping it's just an ulcer that I can't see in the mirror... it does tastes a bit irony as if there's a cut or something, but I guess that could be a tooth breaking the skin.

Wisdom teeth are a fucking bitch... the one on the other side had to be broken in three and took so much force to pull out that the nurse had her feet on my fucking chest to get the leverage. If you can avoid having them out, avoid having them out!

I had fucking six wisdom teeth.
One was so impossible to get out, that I had to go to a specialist, where they put a black leather bag thing over your head with only a very tiny hole for the mouth and began using one of those saws where the handle is upright.
I could hear how the jaw was 'crumbling' and it sounded like a woodenfloor giving in.
Seriously though it wasn't so bad that I wasn't kicking myself for not bringing a recording device for getting that sound to use later .
But read it as a suggestion as to why you should see the dentist first thing.
