was watching it as it happened, 95% sure Will only replied once after the initial tweet benton posted, which was in regards to aliasizm bass posting dem a talk, then benton posted dem a gassed, then jealousy was assumed by Will.
benton got his period saying all that shit (pretty sure he's too proud of it to have deleted it) Will replied about half an hour later saying on the lines of "i can't believe i looked up to you/respected you, you're so sad"
imo big up will, i'm sure there was a lot he could've publicly said and didn't if he even said anything at all, also big up all the other producers in the scene who were egging on benton, got a problem with Compa, but also can't tag him, and only surface their feelings publicly towards him when someones been non-stop bashing on him for the best part of an hour.
maybe i'm a bit bias because i'm sick of all the shit that keeps getting posted on this forum, but i've never seen a guy cop so much shit purely for doing what he loves, and loving doing it.

^You're absolutely right, honestly. And like I said, I love both producers. I think they're two of the best in the scene. I shouldn't have posted in anything in this thread tbh, it was immature of me.

A few people I used to chat to and get tunes off are now really funny with me I think largely because they know I don't agree with their problem with Will...they usually say generic things like "he's got a big ego" or "he needs to learn manners" but can never give me examples.
It's all a bit primary school really, I know for a fact that the first person I heard anything against Will from is a pathological liar and full of shit...and no I'm not going to name names but consider what I'm saying those that jump on the bandwagon

To me this is just the consequence of this modern day and age where everything is publicized, online, everybody's oversaturated with info about generally uninteresting things. Everyone has an opinion on everything and feels compelled to advertise it online.
Back in the day, before the Internet, you could only find about a producer's personality if you had the chance to meet him/her in person, and in the end, you just focused on the music, which is what really matters at the end of the day.
Seriously, I couldn't care less about whether a producer is a dickhead or not as long as I enjoy the music!!!
I'll be honest, I'm not really feeling Compa's tunes, except for Alpha, but I'd never decide to boycott him/not buy his tunes just because of hearsay about his personality, ego or whatever. Who cares about this, really? This is so childish.

I think Benton got his back up because quite a few people were giving him shit when he did a bootleg of Alicia and then Compa came along with his Anti-War Dub re fix and got a load of recognition off the back of it.

i've never seen anyone in this scene act 'jealous' of some-one who's made a popular beat, never, since long time back.
but that said, until this guy popped up, i also never saw someone bootleg the dmz catalogue just to boost their own name.
