Yeah I got my copy and its pretty murked as well as what others have said. Beauty doesn't sound too bad for me, just the bass is muffled/not clean/crisp hits. plate 2 is prolly the worse though plate 3 isn't anything to write home about. but im glad to know ST & Deep Medi are doing the right thing.

I got the CD as well too so I'm content with that. NO DOUBT THIS IS THE ALBUM OF 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really enjoying this, Silkie produced some great tracks, all killer no filler. won't be leaving the CD player for some while :D 8)

DEEP MEDI wrote:Hello all,

Due to the nature of this issue, it's taking a good minute to get to the root of it.

Please understand that its not just 1 person involved in the recording/manufacturing/distribution process.

We are 100% aware of the situation, everyone involved is communicating and we will keep you posted as and when. (we are on it!)

You know this isn't my standard, and trust me i am more gutted than anyone. To be honest its been one of those months! unexpected madness.

Thanks for your patience.

MEDi-015 / Goth-Trad **out 03-08-09**

To be fair, Disko rekah, Protecting hands, kalawanji etc are probably the best quality pressings out of my whole collection.

I guess in just going hold out on vinyl for a while and stick with the CD. Psyched for Released VOL1 and Goth trad

Aye, I've had this playing constantly here.

Production is perfect; it's deep, it's tuneful and I'm right into it.

From ST web site:
Silkie “City Limits Volume 1″ Deep Medi Musik (medilp002) has been withdrawn from sale with immediate effect.

All customers that are unhappy with their copy of this title are requested to return it to their retailer for a refund. Retailers are requested to return all stock of this title to S.T. Holdings Ltd.

All parties concerned are looking into errors during the entire manufacture process. Once the facts have been established and the errors rectified, this title will be re-pressed and re-released. At this moment in time we have no date for the re-release.

As and when more information becomes available we’ll keep you posted.

Sorry for any inconvinience caused.

i'm sure this is a nightmare for everyone involved, Big up ST for taking these steps!

Man, blatantly such a fucking downer for Silkie. This has been the most eagerly awaited release for me within this genre. Guess it's better it happened now, there's only bigger and better things to come from him I'm sure.

I decided to hold off buying the LP until the repress, so I got the CD.
It might sound OK but compared to the only other digital Silkie tracks I've got (Primal & Jazz Dubstep) its really is quite inferior..
Not complaining for the sake of it, just want to see if anybody else has got this problem?

Sorry to say it will not be next week. As yet, no re-release date has been established. As soon as all the errors have been rectified and the record repressed (be it 1,2 or 3 plates) we'll let you know.

This repress will deliver the quality product you all expect.

No store should be selling the first pressing of this item.

Thanks again for your patience.

Brand new TP's (all 3 plates) have arrived. We're just awaiting approval of the TP's. Once approved we're ready to go and press new finished copies.
