To be honest all I see is an overgrown iPhone or maybe a slimmed down iPad. I'm not a big fan of the curved corners like on the iPad, it looks cheap. It's definitely disappointing design-wise, but I don't think it looks as much like the S5 as it does a downsized iPad. It's just that Samsung owns the big screen market right now so anything Apple makes in that size category will automatically get compared to Galaxy's.

I'm no phone nerd, had to go look at pictures of these phones, it does look like a hybrid. I'd like to try out the larger screen concept. I'm still on an iphone 4, I love the screen rez, but I guess it is pretty small.

But anybody know which of the contemporary contenders has the best antenna. I know no one talks about that anymore, but I've got to downsize to a shittier carrier, and need a phone that can really reach out to distant towers.

I've been with Verizon for a decade now, and in the past few years, I've had to go VERY far out of my way to lose coverage. Like to one of the remotest places I've ever been.

I remember Tmobile, back in the day, I couldn't finish a single phone conversation, every call would drop, and I just stopped calling people back. But their plan is half of what I'm paying now... so I might be going back.

So who has the best antenna to handle shitty coverage?

This sounds looks absolute pretentious nonsense, but Ultramajic have released a lot of good tunes imo and I like a lot of what Jimmy Edgar does - fun house & techno made for the club. His essential mix earlier this year was pretty great too.
