Things that pissed me off today and for the previous week: IPAD

Any of you kind gentlemen (or the one lady) know how to get videos off an ipad?

sell it and buy an android tablet

Going to be hard to sell this when I'm done with the hammer.

The iPad is a blessing and a curse. I still can't figure out how to get MP4s onto it so I can watch them on the move.


Can't you just hold the icon down and wait until it changes to delete?

Thanks there buddy! Have seen all but first. Nothing works. Have shot some actually quality video with Filmic Pro, an app that lets you shoot 1080p at 24 frames per second with the ipad, pretty good results. But Filmic pro creates these movie files, but they are invisible. 90% of options on ipad involve uploading the files to a web service. Sorry, not going to upload 15 gigs, and then download 15 gigs onto another computer. Imagine if you were in Australia

You can export the vids to the camera roll, where theoretically they are grabbable from my pc. Only problem is the files exported to the camera roll from filmic pro are invisible in the camera roll. They are playable there in the roll, but are invisible to other connected computers. Makes no sense.

I've pretty much figured this one out though. There is an app called DiskAid, and it allows you to work with the ipad as though it had files and directories. I found the actual original files created by filmic pro, and brought them down to a computer. Now of course, they're locked on that computer, because I've been experimenting with a usb drive hooked up to my router... only problem, the drive is not accessible (at this time) from my xp machine, and I'm trying to get the vid files off the xp to a win 8 laptop for editing because Premiere mf is 64 bit only.

IOS 7 has fucked my ipad 2. So slow, crashes so often now,

7 can suck a fatty, for sure. Apple is making that sound from the movies when a WWII plane has been hit and is going down.

A lot tbh, pretty much anything if you're good with computers (which i'm not, I just used it for free shit and coz I don't know how to have a custom ringtone without jailbreak)

Well it allows you to install apps that Apple doesn't allow in the App Store for all kinds of reasons. I mainly got it so I could install XBMC, a free and open source app, and watch movies and series that are on my NAS or PC. There are apps for that in the App Store but they all cost money or the free ones are full of ads.

The jailbreak also allows me to copy whatever files I want to my iPad without iTunes, and I have a file manager on it too so I can move files around from one app to another (example: copy a PDF from goodreader to adobe).

Going through itunes is pretty much the top reason i switched from the iphone. I found that the jailbroken phones moved a little slower after a while, but theb again, i was on the 3G or 3Gs

Were you guys around when itunes was good? Like 2001-03. Was just a good music organizer/player. Apple was REALLY trying at that time.
