So true, I don't drink a lot tbf but even now my mum gets protective when I go back to London and visit lol. Luckily she's an extremely heavy sleeper and I can make as much noise as I want stumbling about the house in the early hours of the morning.
Once she set up booby traps by the door so that they'd fall and make enough noise to wake her up, I carefully disarmed them and put all the chairs and cutlery back in the appropriate locations and even washed the forks that had fallen

Could it be both? I had my first hangover last Christmas and started drinking three to four years before that. And that was by no means the heaviest I'd drank. Though I think it's got something to do with the sweetness of whatever you're drinking. Maybe that just doesn't help though.

It's such a weird feeling, I feel almost glazed, like a doughnut, but my mood's way off and there's a really subtle but lingering headache. Can't even make eye contact with people when I'm hungover.
