I used to smoke about 20cigs per day back in the army; now I'm down to two. pretty happy with the current situation.

i just could never shake off the craving. like i said, was straight edge for a couple of years. and i tried quitting a other few times and managed to go a a few months without. but idk eventually i picked up a cig again
don't smoke as much now tho. like i can go a few days without

the first time i quit i pretty much went without smoking and drinking for two years, so i get ya. i still always had the craving when i saw someone light up a cig. you just have to beat your brain to get over them. my boss just quit the same way i did (without the vitamins even), and he had been smoking a pack a day for at least 25 years. no matter what method you use, its just will power man.

if i could just smoke two cigarettes a day, i probably would - smoking a cig is fucking relaxing as hell. i cant do it tho. if i tried smoking that little a day, i'd be back up to half a pack a day within the week.

i'm down to like half a pack maybe less per day + days when i don't smoke so it's alright for now imo. especially coming from ~2 packs/day

I've never smoked more than a few cigs a week max. I kind of see it as drinking beer.
Do it at appropriate times. Not in the morning, not at school/work etc..

See for me the thing is that I don't actually register cravings, it's more of a noticeable shift in mood. I just got back home and finished a cigarette from earlier, now I feel way better. I don't even get the headrush anymore which is what's making me consider quitting. Smoking's easier than having a mental shut down while trying to keep up with class etc.

my mate smoked 3 packs during the last night of this year's outlook. that's 60 cigs in about 8 hours.
