tbh in his own work I could see the drums being a bit underwhelming in the context of dance music, but as idm or more just listening or chilling it's rather good.

Gosh.
I file LFO alongside Autechre in the "stuff that takes a bit of work to begin with, but changes your outlook on music for good".
First two albums are incredible... but I think hubb's spot on, Homogenic is probably his best work.
Edit: Homogenic might just be humanity's best work.
