Hype hype hype! There's definitely not enough rapping over dubstep, can't wait to hear how it sounds.

That's me

was a bit of a sinical thing to say really..
the problem is not with the productions in themselves. its that these tracks probably weren't created with verse/chorus/verse vocals in mind so when the vocals are added there isn't much room for either to shine. it's like xzibit rapping over a d1 track trying to make it just a xzibit song. like i said before if either producer or vocalist came in with a mindset to create a song rather than just rap over/have someone rap over a track i think the outcome could be pretty dope. it's fine for a free release along the lines of what dj nappy was doing.

respect for the hard work though.

D1 re made the track just for the the xzibit and u-n-i vocals

Also there are a few tracks on the mixtape that were made specifically for vocals...Silkie, Chase & Status, D1, Benga....

You're assuming that all the tracks are not structured.

The very track you're using as an example was structured specifically for Xzibit and U-N-I to vocal as you will hear when you can download the track.

People need to stop being so negative.

this^^

tbh im expecting about 20% of this to be good, and im not particuarly bothered if plastician things its a negativity thing but im more than open and willing to hear some good things with american rappers but from what ive heard thus far, the bulk sounds very forced and gimmicky,

Out to the 20% thats good tho still, the stuff ive heard that i like.....i like ALOT! ;)

so are these new instrumentals or does 'collaboration' mean a US MC has vocalized an existing tune ala snoop dog & eastern jam?

Not really liking the whole rap/step thing, but I'll definitely be giving it a listen, that's for sure!

Nice one to all the people that've put work into the project. Thumbs up.

Starkey and Dyme Def collab sounds like it's gonna be big. Dyme Def is by far the dopest thing Seattle hip hop has going for it right now imo. And Starkey is always on point.
