well... basically he told me he uses a grip of sample pack type stuff from friends or sample cd's ... layers the fuck out of it, add's fx & what not, eq's it. Resamples that, then spends a bunch of time eq'ing the resampled bassline again.

:4: WORD, I used samples to make a bassline for the first time the other day and it was fuUUUUN! I'm sayin though, I listened to the tune in question & aside from the phatness of the timbre it's all about the glide, slide or portamento function Sukh is using. You can probably put glide on a duck call sample and make a huge tune as long as you back it up with sub bass. Anyhow, sampling/ layering/ effects/ resampling... yesSS! Mental results!!
