i thought monkfish was cheap cuz nobody wants it.

we used to serve it at a restaurant that i worked at when the chef got a bunch for cheap. shit looks more like lobster than fish when you eat it.

the liver is good though. i had some at a sushi joint once and it tasted like pate

its fucking expensive here....about 7 quid for a fillet....ive only ever eaten the meaty bit of it!

i think most of the manufacturers and processors just sell the tail in fillets.....it looks fucking prehistoric and i guess scares people lol

do you think it's bizarre appearance is of any significance?
