My dad likes Burial, Silkie, Darkstar, DFRNT, Synkro, Faib, Jazzsteppa, James Blake, Jamie Vex'd, Joy Orbison, Pangaea, 16bit's Twice EP, the more dubsteppy Moderat songs, Skream - Dutch Flowerz and Rusko - Acton Dread. He doesn't own any records but enjoys me bringing down new 12s to play on his ludicrously expensive record player, through his ludicrously expensive soundsystem (2 power amps per speaker), and his lovely PMC speakers which handle frequencies down to 50hz with insane clarity. So yeah, he likes the bass.
My mum quite likes Burial.

Both mum and dad like it
Re: what does mummy/daddy think of dubstep?
My parents both vibe to most of it apart from well agressive stuff like coki wobblers, I don't play musical toss like borgore so they don't know that side of the sound. Tried to convince them Oi Killa was a BEAT but na...
My mum goes nuts for funky tho, starts doin the twist and ting

I want my beats to sound like arrhythmia.
Re: what does mummy/daddy think of dubstep?

Re: what does mummy/daddy think of dubstep?
I actually put my dad talking about dubstep in a tune called Never Heard It. Its on the old Resonant Recordings store here - http://resonantrecordings.digital-tunes.net/ Funny looking back.
Re: what does mummy/daddy think of dubstep?
They like it much more than D&B. That used to send anyone in earshot running.

Mmmm mixed...both rents are musicians and I think they both appreciate certain aspects of dubstep. Although it depends wot mood theyre in. if they are in anyway stressed or busy pretty much anything with drums in gets an instant TURN THAT OFF at th moment...
Theyre obviously more into the more musical, chilled, 2step and garagey stuff. I think they both UNDERSTAND why I like it even if they're not about to listen to it everyday themselves.
Im actually gettin my dad 2 record sum Sax for use in a few tracks of mine n I reccomended sum names for him to listen to, so I've recently come downstairs in the mornin to find him improvising to a bit of Silkie, Joker etc
