I always play my sets like that and it always works well whatever sort of crowd there is but I've yet to play a Caspa or Rusko tune and 99% of jumpup I hear I think isn't worth playing thats why most of the bangers I play I've written myself. The constant suggestions by the usual suspects on this forum that ALL jumpup is shit is probably why I post on here most of the time its just a reaction to their musical facism. I'll admit I'm a musical facist as well but only in terms of which tunes I select - completely writing off half the music in a scene where its sometimes pretty hard to find good tunes just seems a bit stupid to me. I'm happy mixing the 1% of jumpup I hear and actually like with the 1% of deep I actually like - I don't think I'd bother DJing at all if I couldn't play both styles together, keeps things more interesting.vida infra wrote:Look.
