How many tracks do the producers on here normally use?

2-8 drum racks, usually layered
1-4 simplers, only really 1 per wobble (depends on variation)
1-4 operators, usually at least 1-2 for texture and the others are for synth variation. Do people use operator for bass lines?
2-4 audio tracks, either from carrying over drums from sequencers (anyone else here use hammerhead?) or for samples
3-4 returns, mostly for using New York Compression for boosting the drums
