i couldn't care less if it's good dubstep, but in all honesty it's unlikely to be. bad dubstep does generally piss me off than any other shit music though as it tends to be actually offensive to the ears whereas other stuff is just as bad but you can tolerate it to an extent. so to answer your question; yes it probably would piss me off to hear dubstep in a public place but only because i don't like my ears being polluted

Haha yeah someone called me up really freaked out over this. But really what they heard was a La Roux remix (Skreams of course). It's the official song for that Bayonetta game. Not surprising since that single went gold.
I feel about the same as when I started to hear Noisia in video games, and Evol Intent on Cartoon Network. Used to hear Calyx & Teebee - Follow The Leader on tv quite a bit during game adverts. It's cool if it suits something well, but usually i'm pretty indifferent. Not a lot of people even take notice, mostly just music nerds.

When I was in Edinburgh's Urban Outfitters they had 5 Years of Hyperdub on the playlist and for sale.
If people are getting into it through hearing decent dubstep then fair play. But if it was the generic wobble pish then yeah I get where you's are coming from.

At least it's 'cheekily' wobbling it's way in, before you know it, everyone will have chucked a sub bass under their national anthems. Queens, kings, presidents and prime ministers will have to Mc battle their way into power in a 5 round head-to-head-one-liner-competition.

It will become a legal requirement to attend Dubstep appreciation lessons and DJ workshops (as a replacement for RE).
It will become a bit like Sparta in the 300.....you cant mix, you'e goin off the cliff

S'all good but it is sometimes annoying when you hear some really shit dubstep in a public place and its like.. this is how everyone see's dubstep.. they are missing out on the good shit !

I like hearing dubstep in mainstream places... makes a nice break from the crap they normally play. BUT I do dislike it when some stuck up student standing in "vintage" clothes next to me goes "OOOOO i <3 Chas and Staaaatus" or "OOOO Caspa and Ruskowub wub wub" when it isn't one of their tracks playing.

Never really noticed it before. I hate shopping at the best of times, so I try and stay away from shops where they also play music while everyone is GETTING IN THE FUCKING WAY AND BUMPING INTO ME LIKE A BUNCH OF RUDE stnuc.


But i'd rather hear dubstep than Lady GaGa or some generic boyband bollocks while i'm trying to buy some socks.
