Did anyone see the documentary "Defamation" on More4 a couple of weeks back,really interesting stuff.This Israeli jewish journalist tried to examine the issue of anti semitism and what it means today.A lot of the film was spent looking at the work of the Anti Defamation League and came to the conclusion that these days their main role seems to be engaging in the suppression of criticism of the Israeli state by labeling it as anti-semitism.The most disturbing bit of the film however was the trip that he took with a group of Israeli schoolkids to Poland to see the death camps,This had been organised by the military and seemed to more a kind of exercise in brainwashing by fear rather than a chance to understand more about their terrible recent history.

some people seem to forget that israel is placed amid a lot of countries who'd be glad to nuke 'em (so they can go back to raping and killing eachother, as they did for the past 600 years). and tbh Israel treats the palestinians better than a lot of arab countries would... it's still fucked up, don't get me wrong, but just blaming israel for everything is so fucking easy and convenient.
