Yeah I remember reading a while back some families volunteered to get those chips implanted, because they felt "safer" with them. Sounds like a product of fear tbh, but as long as it's voluntary they can do whatever they want to their own bodies, as long as it's not mandatory.

Was that last bit about the RFID hacking, like those recent RFID credit cards being sniffed by someone standing next to the card holder with a simple tool?

yes, hacking and manipulating digital information makes us more insecure than ever as we become more and more digital identities. people from back home hacked everything from nasa to pentagon and made news headlines. and that's kids, not the people holding the key to pandora's box

and those families... there's midget fights on tv as well

I'd be more worried if some nefarious criminal organisation got hold of that fingerprint database. Not as if cornershop security's particularly better than government security.
