Me too. I stay up later and later each day, and this leads to a fucked up sleeping pattern haha!

Another thing I do is tweak my physical workspace a lot, trying to achieve the perfect workflow surroundings. In my last place, I moved my entire room 5 times before I was settled

always going to bed late and always waking up early to work on tunes and always running late for work...not good.

also if i start a new project i can't get it out of my mind until it finish properly may take days,weeks,months and always re uploading new versions on my soundcloud

I've realized over the years that I don't necessarily produce just to make music; the experimentation, challenge and learning experience is a huge reason why I do it. So I always get a little uneasy at the earliest signs of repeating myself and panic a little bit. It's pretty much why I gave up Reason for Cubase; I felt like I was too comfortable with it and I didn't like the idea that I was relying on any one piece of software to make music. Even now, I'm using both Kontakt and Shortcircuit for the same reasons.


But to answer the question: I always assign an LFO to the low-pass filter on my bass, and I don't make wobble or use a lot of midrange...I just like to have a bit of movement in the sub-bass. I also tend to make a lot of my hi-hats the same way and feel like I need to work a little harder on them. I also tend to use reverb and delay on just about everything, even if its just a miniscule amount. Other than that, I really enjoy taking a fresh approach with each tune.

Lol, Im in bed at noon and up at 9! Fuckin nocturnal, I swear it... Fuck it, nothins worth doing in the daytime during PAs winters anyway...

I cant stop shovelling fucking snow! Were gettin record snowfalls this year, n its every couple hours Im diggin myself bakc out the front door. Oh how stupid I am, for wanting to live in the mountains.

I usually have one night I stay up till like mid day, then sleep till like 7-8pm, then stay up till 9-10pm and sleep till 6-7am, its crazy yo'

Anyone else do something simular to this? Its starting to annoy me I need to break the habitttt!

why? i quite like it when a musician has something that comes everytime again. somehow like a tag. though i'm not talking about a pad in the intro.
more of the whole track... if every of your tracks have the same kinda feeling, maybe a sample you always use (in different ways) then i think it's okay and even really good.

just thinking of joker... you always hear that it's joker. and same thing you can say about many other big names.

i started doing this sort of thing after chrismas when i started working only 2 days a week instead of 5 days.i have like 2 days i just stay up then sleep a day then have 2 days where i go a sleep at about 5-7am wake up about 1-4pm then work two days get no sleep and then back to the start. it has made me go a little crazy. if i was unemployed i can see this being such a bigger problem for me because ive got 2 days a week where i have got to be some where and i got some sorta cycle.

Make a loop, fix it up, play it on loop for a couple days, think of what i can add to it, add nothing to it. Start new track (rinse and repeat). I have about 100 loops i've made sitting on my harddrive. I like them all but i never progress them into songs. I spend about a week making each loop. Meh

couldnt possibly be natural herb, or could it? weedgeeks?

Pretty negative list here, but.

Can't stop being unable to create the sounds I want.

Can't figure out the third element. Drums, bass, and ?

Can't write a transition.

Can't write a song.

Can't take a section and make a variation on it.

Can't keep my head clear enough to evaluate a beat while I'm working on it. I go from loving beats I'm working on, to hating them. I don't know if it's delusion from the start, over listening, or over working the beats.

Can't stop working on music.

Don't worry i have the same problem... (well its not a problem atm,) the last 8 ish tunes i have got, starts with some pads, arps, wind, air, rain, and things of that sound tpye. I cant help it, but i guess thats they way i do this/
