Im wanting to make the other grimey/dark sounds in tracks like Datsik, Xcision.
Also just any nice sounds like in Unitz-the drop.
Mainly sort of noises in Mt Eden - Silence. If you havent checked him out already you should hes makes real nice music.
But heres a link to silence so you no what sounds im looking for

Tutorial would be gratefully appreciated?
I would be very happy if someoone could point me in the right direction?
Thanks a lot

Hey mate,
One way to make Datsik style bass:
Use one oscillator, turn the other two off with the blue lights and on the dropdown list of all the waves (where you find Sin-Tri, Sin-Square etc etc), choose the "Scrap Yard" option. Then play around with the "wt-position" and the "intensity" for the respective oscillator... I set mine both on max for this.
Make sure both filters are on and set them to "Daft" and "Acid". Set the fader next to the oscillator you're using to sit in the middle of "F1" and "F2".
Now click on the arrow thing on the "5 LFO" tab and drop it in the boxes on the left under both filters (only drop it in one box for each filter). Also drop it on the "Amp" knob for the oscillator that you are using. A green number "5" should appear under each one. Click once and hold down on the "5" and drag upwards, so that the green and grey lines together make a roughly 180 degree arc (this is what makes your wave wobble so experiment with this). Do this for the amp knob of your oscillator too.
You should be wobbling now. To control the way it wobbles go into the 5 LFO tab and play with the wave shape and rate and try messing around with the crossfader a bit. You can automate it with another LFO or stepper, just as you automated the cutoff filter to produce your wobble. Don't bother trying to automate the rate of your wobbles to get them to change speed, just render out a bunch at different speeds and put them together that way.
Add an eq (just click the little blue light, its next to fx 1 and fx 2 on the right) and play with the settings.
Add a little bit of the dimension expander (on the right in the drop down list of effects).
Message me if you want a screenshot of how everythings set up.
Its not exactly datsik's wobble but its a pretty good starting point and I'm pretty sure he does use Scrap Yard
