Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-22
took a totally different approach with this one, i've been working a lot more with audio in logic lately, I was always kinda scared to for some reason, anyways so in this one I only used one sampler in my song, and it was for a hi hat, kinda cool considering I usually use the sampler to harvest ideas and make weird sounds. Maybe doesnt seem to extreme of a difference but for me it was. Just thought Id share my experience of how awesome it can be to take a whole different approach from your norm (almost said "on your mom"), it can make you write something out of the ordinary, something you normally would never make. it can sometimes be a creative goldmine for sure.

Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-22
I haven't entered one of these yet, I was just wondering what the winner receives? If anything..
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-22
$10,000 or 6,548pounds, your choice, plus a release on Tempa.
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-22
and mad props

Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-22
The winner receives merciless heckling and the ignominious task of putting together the next samplepack for people to say they're not feeling it because it's too ________ (insert cop-out here.)
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-22
When do the tunes go up on the Cloud? I assume the 11th. And we're free to say which ones ours in and discuss etc?
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-22
Well, no - at least that wasn't the idea in any of the previous ones. The tunes should be weighed on their own merits, and if people identify their tracks then shit like popularity & online personality start factoring in. Leave the songs anonymous until the winner's announced.jaydot wrote:When do the tunes go up on the Cloud? I assume the 11th. And we're free to say which ones ours in and discuss etc?
We want to listen to it bro - just in the proper context. It's a bit of a spoiler to put your tune out there to listen to weeks before the rest of 'em get listened to side-by-side and compared, no? That plus the anonymity thing mentioned above... if you want to make a tune but not participate in the contest, that's fine - just kindly wait until those who are participating have been allowed to do their thing, please.goodeh wrote:i did. i just thought others might wanna listen to it. obviously not...
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-22
Sorry if it has been said, wheres best to upload the songs to submit them?
Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-22
