i agree, doc p and funtcase sound completely different, and yes u do get all these wanna-be dubstep producers posting their shit all over youtube but u cannot say the music which funtcase and doctor p produce isnt good music, it may not be wat 'dubstep' used to be a year ago but u can still apprieciate the diversity of their tunes

Big up Mr Sparx, speaks the truth. Kinda harsh to take it to a personal level against Funt etc but everyone can have their opinion and healthy debate only pushes things forward. Most jumpup is shit because the main judge of whether its good or not is indicated by popularity with the people who have absolutely no idea about music or the alternatives. So Vexed being number one in sales charts confirms this.
Having said that jumpup shouldnt be taken as serious music and does exactly what it says on the tin, if you don't want to listen to it thou its very hard to avoid! To say i hate sweet shop iv heard it out way more times than i would want to and its horrible each and every time. Hearin it at DMZ is the icing on the cake for that really, its not the place for it. Hopefully this fad will pass but its surely gona leave a nasty mid ranged stain on dubstep overall.

Skream is God. Play sweet shop, so vexed etc etc next to Wibbela, Raw Dogz etc etc and the difference in quality in terms of the sounds and production is so obvious. Big up all the Skream raters!

Before this thread, I'd only ever heard the remix of that Bar9 tune that he did. So, before writing this, I spent the past half hour checking out his tunes. They're all pretty forgettable and it seems to me that he's posted this due to flagging interest in his output, whilst others are hyping up Funtcase/Dr P and all those other heads because they're pulling in more people to shows, selling more records and generally getting more heads into this scene than he has managed thus far in his career.

If you're not into then here is a fucking novel solution for you and others...

1)Don't listen to it.
2)Don't support the nights they play.
3)Refuse to play shows with any similar DJ's and producers.
4)Join with the other heads who share YOUR vision of what dubstep is and where it should go and fuck off for a collective circle stroke over YOUR style of tunes, because lets face it, if you make a post on a worldwide forum slagging producers off that the general public love, you've probably just alienated a large amount of your fanbase...

So all in all, I shall revert back to my first post in this thread...

If you don't like it, don't make it/listen to it/support it in any way and concentrate on what you think dubstep should be.

In Future instead of answering the question "Do you like Rob Sparx?" with a Postitive Reply, I'll Answer with "Yeah his tunes are good but he's a fucking hater who wont respect Fellow artists and what they do and that makes him a bit of a chief."

I cant understand What this post was meant to prove, like the point of it. If you dont like something dont listen to it/play it out etc.
