Ive been to a few gigs on my tobler. As people have said, once you are on the floor nobody is thinking that you are on your own and if you have a few beers beforehand you will be grand. Went down to Galway from Dublin (about 3 hours on the train) a few years ago to see Rusko on my own and had one of the best nights of my life. Defo do it

I go to quite a few on my own but I usually find people there I know even if I didn't know they were gonna be there. That's Leeds for you though

yeh but to be fair, you run a night, you prob know all the people at dubstep night in leeds, cos, as you say, thats leeds!

itd be a bit diff if you went to say, Glasgow

I usually roll alone and meet up with the other 10 people who like dubstep here, most of which are DJs.

I find it's best if going to a far off gig to have one compadre with you, otherwise you might end up getting a little too lost in the music and never finding your way home again

av been going to clubs myself in glasgow for years and now know half the people ther!

Did this once. Got so excessively drunk beforehand that I ended up falling down the same pair of stairs 3 times and fracturing my back. Great night.

Yeah I've done this too a couple of times.
Didn't make much of a difference for me.
The majority of my mates are just not into dubstep, so I didn't really have any other choices, besides not going
I had a great night, but yeah, it's always nice to have your friends with you though.

I'm going to a dubstep/indie/electro/hip-hop night tomo on my own, but know a couple of the guys doing live Hip-hop sets through twitter... working on a beat for one of them right now.
