That is 100% due to bad posture. Get yourself a better chair, and ensure that your mouse arm rests at exactly the same horizontal level as the mouse itself.

I've got a stack of boxes and books on my right which act as an arm rest. It has solved the rsi I was getting from extended computer sessions.

I'd rather stick to a mouse and keyboard than a touch screen too. I've used tablet PC's and interactive white boards with programs like Reason and Cubase. You'll quickly miss right-click context menus and keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl-A, Ctrl-X, Ctrl-V etc etc.

Also, you think rsi off too much mousing is bad? Try using a touch screen for extended lengths of time! :(

lets not forget, not just touch, but multitouch.

@pat - your concerns are valid, but will be addressed very shortly. Touch is in it's infancy.

Even if I had the money I wouldn't buy that thing because all that shit will be possible on basic consumer products soon if not already.

DOnt forget virtual hanging wires, virtual screws, virtual tubes... hell... itchy even comes with virtual ketamine on the meter! you got your whole virtual world, they need to make virtual asshole friend who come along and shit beers on top of valuable exuipment and cover vital screens while your producing. Thatd be the shit.

This is why I stay out of reason honestly... If it did what it did and looked as simple as JACK id be all over that shit. nah. no fany screws and tubes n shit. Im good.

On that note, I see the actual drivers advancing severely, and becoming a much larger part of the production process. JACK lets me link multiple software together, anything that makes sound on my pc really, can be plugged into anything that can process it. I see the intuitiveness of individual app linking, as bring a way forward and keeping people in touch with the studio's full of individual effects boxes, drum mahcines, synths and recorders, but rather, wiring it all on your pc.

And it wont be singularly limited like Reason. it will be capable on soundcard processes. JACK.
Jack that sort of sounds like VST or Rewire. I am just not left with the impression that I need this thing.
