Im 28 too.
I thought it was k. The gunships looked pretty cool and the aerial battle scene was wicked.
The first 30 mins bored the shit out of me though.

You saw it as propaganda? Interesting, it seemed pretty anti-war to me. Parts anyway, like how the military basically turned the main character into a lifeless robot, and the mercs seemed to represent Blackwater or any number of "soldier for hire" groups. That's what I took from it anyway. I only saw it once, but I think I can see what you mean, parts did seem to glorify aspects of it as well. I'm not so sure it was deserving of the award though.
