Did you use the textured custom speaker paint for them?

I've got superscoops but the labs are so efficient!
cheers! Just used gloss at the moment. Going to put some heavy duty clear finish of some sort on them to toughen them up though.

@ PhatyMclefto:
That stack looks very impressive.
What do you mainly use it for?
What's the low cut off on 4 PI's?
It's hard to tell whats going on at the throat in that photo, is there a flare panel like in the labs?
JimmaJamJamie wrote:Yeah thats the same as what we are hoping to make. I am looking at Fane 18XB drivers to go in the scoops - http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=FANCOL18XB - any idea if these would be good and what type of amps would be required for the whole lot?
Love the sound of scoops. If you can afford them (consider getting 2nd hand) I'd go for something tougher like a PD1850 or similar.
Will definitely help if your only building 4.
I take it you've seen the plans here:

Just had a 4 day 40hr build session and nearly there!

This all seems really, really interesting, but at the same time I've not actually understood a whole lot of the information on this thread...

Is there like a website where you can get a "Guide to Speakers for n00bs" like myself? :D
