is Britney Spears really worse than Gucci Mane? I would rather listen to that bitch singing all day than hear one more track with that retarded redneck crackhead rapper who sounds like mickey mouse doing a sugar hill gang impression. Gucci Mane is much more of a disgrace than Britney, so I kind of see this as a step up. It really pissed me off that Rusko thinks Gucci is talented when there's so much good hip-hop out there. Gucci to me is the worst artist working today.

I have to say that you can't deny that Rusko is a good producer and if anyone here got offered to work on a tune with Britney Spears I'm pretty sure you'd say yes, money like that means more time you can work on music, not some other job that you may not like to pay the bills, obviously its gonna knock his cred from the dubstep fans (or whatever he's got left from the way you lot are going on), but I say go on Rusko, if I could get where he is I'd be over the moon.

Fair play to Rusko. Its clearly his intention to make it in the mainstream word so good on him for getting these kind of oportunities.
However, saying this....
"It's not superdeep, you don't listen to it on your iPod in bed with your eyes closed. It's for jumping up and down and getting wild. Dubstep has become the punk rock of the electronic-music world. Dubstep is … Bang!"
Is fucking shocking really as it really does misrepresent the sound and shows complete disregard for all the other styles out there.

you can see why the term brostep and other terms are coming about, im glad hes making money and doing well and basically suceeding at his job, but to now have britney spears and mala under the same umbrella is a shocker

Wasn't this what they said about breakcore like four years ago?

he's not an idiot, he was on bloody perez hilton. he's trying to sell his sound. if he'd said "dubstep is all about badboy subs and calli-weed bassweight meditation sessions" it would have got a mainstream celeb site? he's playing to the crowd

Britney's had loads of good tunes in the past as anyone with an open mind would know. Obviously 'Slave 4 U', but also the whole of the Blackout album has NUTSOID production.
This might be good, or it might not. It's fucking funny though, and it's a challenge for the rest of the dubstep scene. How are you going to deal with the increasing success of artists from the scene, regardless of whether you like what they're doing? No UK underground dance scene has made it this global before - so are you doing to do it proud by keeping the grass roots strong while letting these artists have their moment in the sun or are you going to descend into bickering? Seriously, your choice.
Anyway, it's not Britney you should be interested in. I heard a serious rumour that Rusko is also working with...
MEATLOAF
I'm not joking either.

Big tune!
I am not that bothered - Rusko is in another world compared to a lot of the scene. Hes going to be making pop music for Britney Spears, 70% of people who listen to popular music don't even know what genre half the things they like are! Its not a big deal for the scene but a big deal to him and I say good luck to the fella, I might not be a huge fan of his music but hes certainly put in the work to get where he is!

Wow, so many haters on here. Not surprising.
What do you expect, for music to never evolve and for great music like dubstep to never emerge from the underground? Stay in the dark ages, haters.
If anything, you should want to share it with the world.
Rusko has paid his dues, he's talented, works hard and he's making big moves. Don't hate on the man because the best you can do is hide behind a computer screen and spew hateful nonsense.
Big Ups Rusko and THE MUSIC!!! It's all about the MUSIC.

pssshhh obviously you've forgotten the mob mentality
like the orig ruskoi omg lp announcement (before it had that title)
irony is if it was mala or someone in the dmz crew it would be a bunch of dickriding
Boosh - truth has been spoken. If Mala pulled some Britney Spears shit you all know you'd be trying to get that album as soon as it dropped. You'd all be saying, "Yo, Mala just put out some wobbly shit for Britney, man. It's gonna be tight as fuck." Quit bashing people and give the man some love for doing something with himself. Whether we approve of Britney or do not approve of Britney. Listen to it... it might be tight as fuck.
