No, F0 is actually amazing if youre using it as sub bass. not much point in going below that note though, as your frequencies will dip out of the realm of audibility.the dub lemon wrote:I don't think anyone here is talking about F0, F1 is the one we're talking about.Sirius wrote:k.... just figured out why F is the best bass chord. F0 is 21.827 Hz, so its as low as ya can take it audibly!!CHEA!!
What is the lowest note you use for bass?

F0 is the key that resonates the windows, picture frames etc. also i can't stay in ma room for more than 15mins constantly fukn with that note without going for a shit(brown tone territory)!!pure power! E0 has no resonance quality! I run 2 10" JBLs thru a bass amp.. shit gets messy!!lovin it!!chea

you realise that resonance totally depends on the material its resonating.Sirius wrote:thankyou horseforce. some1 that knows what im talking about! To say that E0 has no resonating qualities is untrue, because it will resonate things, just not your windows, as F0 is the resonant frequency of your windows.
To say one note sounds louder than another (in the sub realm but above say... 25hz) is totally dependent on your rooms acoustics and standing waves.

So you all have monitors and play your tunes on systems which can accurately reproduce 21hz?
My Mackies go lower than most monitors and they only go down to 37hz.

trust me, they get down there. the positioning i have my monitors in my room actually helps bring out that low end. if you know the wavelength of the wave you want to amplify, you just take a quarter of that distance and set your speakers up that distance from the wall.

Those have started rolling off at 50hz and have dropped -10db by the time you hit 30hz and it looks like it's down -30db by the time you get down to 21hz.HORSEFORCE wrote:i have these bad boysthe dub lemon wrote:So you all have monitors and play your tunes on systems which can accurately reproduce 21hz?

20Hz!?
You can rattle windows all you want but it's hardly conducive to getting a release, or really moving people in the clubs.

The human ear can nominally hear sounds in the range 20 Hz to 20000 Hz
I do a sound more low 20hz, and I hear nothing. And Subwoofer pump more slowly heart rhythm. But feelings from a touch to subwoofer - amazing
