Check his tracks and go thru those Batman samples on the youtubre link I posted. Finding a good source for samples is what it is all about. I am sure this is not the first time someone has sampled Hanz but it makes total sense. We writes/scores the music using samplitude orchestral samples then records a real orchestra, so if you are sampling it to make atmospheric sounding pads by lp filtering the string sections it can be achieved using a decent orchestral/piano sample library and the right use of reverb, loop it up the same way you would the ost soundtrack, and you can write more variations/sections without the constraint of a someone elses sample, it doesn't have to be a hi-res glistening score sound because that is not what you are trying to achieve.serox wrote: Mr Hanz Zimmer has quite a nice setup that was used to make the original sounds.
