I was avoiding it out of respect for the artist.
Ugh wish I never came back into this thread I didn't want to know where they came from :(

Sorry chap.

I felt a little weird when I spotted them as these tracks are among my fav. Now, I think its quite smart and takes more skill to achieve than a good majority of modern Dubstep/2step.

Had a similar moment watching "Sorcerer" by William Friedkin, which has this score by Tangerine Dream.....heard this ominous synth line and recognized it instantly as the hook in Three 6 Mafia's 'Rainbow Colors'

yay for sampling!

Hahahahahaha wow, and I thought I was on some blatant shit with my sampling.

THAT's just thievery. haha I like Synkro's tunes, though, great drums.

so to sum up "everybody knows" is made of "brandy - almost doesnt count" + batman soundtrack + sampled reese (when filter opens up its sounds like reese from some dnb tune...cant remember the name thou) + drums made by synkro....

fuck it...its a good tune and i dont care if its sampled or not, recent synkros work sounds more synth'y thou ...lets say this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HJKQMwV8zw i dont think its sampled...and if its sampled i dont even care...for me hiphop died when it started to use synths instead of sampled material ;)

Check his tracks and go thru those Batman samples on the youtubre link I posted. I can see about 4 different tracks that have used melodies/atmos/pads from the clips that are the main hook/vibe for his entire tracks.

It is not just ONE of his tracks.

Anyway, I am not digging him, I like it. They fit very well and he has some amazing drums.

I have been using Synkro's tracks to get ideas from and have spent many hours, days, trying to replicate the atmos and melodies used. Turns out I have been wasting my time trying to make that shit using a computer! :)

Mr Hanz Zimmer has quite a nice setup that was used to make the original sounds.

dont see the point in keeping samples secret. im not so big on dubstep sampling but could point out loads of jungle/old dnb samples.

e.g. paradox - a certain sound (and the flip deep sleep) both contain fuckloads of pads from the dune soundtrack
most of the stuff from torque era no u turn samples the fuck out of blade runner
in fact even if we take it back to old skool stuff, i believe go by moby samples the soundtrack from twin peaks

sample spotting can be fun, i always love it when i watch a film and hear something i recognize from a tune, gives you that tingly skin feeling.

Seriously though. Redistribute teh soundz! Sampling that stuff is like having access to a 50m$ studio.

Just noticed I have a piece of gear that is good enough to be in Hanz'z palace, my unitor 8

Finding a good source for samples is what it is all about. I am sure this is not the first time someone has sampled Hanz but it makes total sense. Something so simple but I never thought of it.

No wonder the pads/piano melodies sound so good in Synkros tracks! there was me thinking, shit this guy must have been playing piano for 20 years lol

We writes/scores the music using samplitude orchestral samples then records a real orchestra, so if you are sampling it to make atmospheric sounding pads by lp filtering the string sections it can be achieved using a decent orchestral/piano sample library and the right use of reverb, loop it up the same way you would the ost soundtrack, and you can write more variations/sections without the constraint of a someone elses sample, it doesn't have to be a hi-res glistening score sound because that is not what you are trying to achieve.

I beleive you. I have no idea where to start with real instruments and I would hate to do something that sounds terrible to he trained ear.
