Obviously the quality of your documentary is down to a ratio between join date and post count.

Less cut and paste off of wikipedia next time.

What are you talking about...? Digital music course? One has a mac? Having expensive monitors doesn't make you a good producer and no-one on the label uses fruity loops, so I think you need to go away and think a little more if you want to go down that route.

It's well done but really, glamorises drugs from what I've seen. 2 parts that are my personal favourites:-

The scenesters saying methadrone is the way forward, they look about 12.

And the the first producer who obviously had to have the bong in the shot!

Great production man but totally missed the point and kinda advertises dubstep in quite a bad light personally.

You mean those lame nights where you get Scuba, Pangaea, Shackleton and Goth Trad and folk like that?

The above type of dudes NEVER play here in Edinburgh...........although we did get Untold & Ramadanman play at the coolest club in Edinburgh..... The Caves......the catch????.... It was a Wednesday night on both occasions. For Friday or Saturday nights we get folk like Caspa & Rusko when it comes to "Dubstep" nights.......and that's if we're lucky! Thankfully we have Messenger Sound System, Departure Lounge, Four Corners, Headspin etc......as well as a pretty kick ass House scene with producers such as Linkwood & Fudge Fingas spinning pretty regularly.

I thought the doco was a decent attempt for first time around.....the kids interviewed made me cringe big time though. hahahaha

Oh well......such is life.

Regardless Edinburgh has a great music scene as far as I'm concerned. I can basically go out on any given night and dance to good music.

I guess the above LOL came from an Edinburgh clubber with about 3 months experience on Edinburgh's club circuit. I could be wrong though although I have come to realise that folk who use LOL or LMAO or ROFL tend to be about 16-18yrs of age.

After 8yrs clubbing in Edinburgh I'd say Caves is easily the niced and coolest club in Edinburgh imo?

Bongo Club has some of the coolest nights but it's not really the prettiest thing lets be honest.....although at least it is bigger than when it was on New Street.....however it has not managed to secure Amon Tobin's services since!

Cab Vol is another pretty nice club too with some great club nights........Caves is much nicer though and has alot more room and style.

Sadly The Venue & La Belle are history..........we do have Liquid Room making a comeback thankfully though.

Not really many other clubs I bother with in Edinburgh to be honest these days.

I thought the only thing disrespectful was the clown kids talking about how great they thought some lame drugs were.

From what I remember the narrator was bigging up Bongo and its rep as one of Edinburgh's best clubs?

yeah agreed. I read through a bit of the discussion but when I finally went to check out the movie I got stopped by the password protection page. What's the password? I really want to see this !

Seeing as you can't see this I'll give you a quick run down of it....

Arthur's Seat comes into view......then some dudes with kilts......then some haggis........then irn bru.......then some whisky........then the staff at the front of Bongo club.......then interviews with some 17yr old veteran Dubstep clubbers who tell us what the coolest drugs are and that Falkirk and Glasgow don't get Dubstep.........then some wobble and folk dancing.....then some interviews with a few Edinburgh Dubstep producers I've never heard of (I'm sure others here may have though)....then some more wobble and folk dancing.....then Arthur's Seat again....then roll credits.

As I said earlier......sure the short doco isn't indepth and intricate, but for a first time attempt it's a pass.
