Deep Medi singles going digital

I kind of hope they're delayed till a bit after the vinyl release. So people who would have got it on vinyl but are lazy have to either get the vinyl or wait.

I mean. I'm not being a format snob. It's just it would be a shame for the digital releases to cause the subsidence of vinyl sales.

Talking from my own experience of releasing vinyl, that's what distributors do anyway.. They send the digital tunes to the digi-stores approx 4-8 weeks AFTER the vinyl release. This way DJs get the vinyl release (sometimes promo) first, the distributor sells the physical product to the shops and THEN the nearly cost-free digi file goes on-line. This way everyone's happy +plus vinyl sales don't get hurt

Also yes the fact that Deep Medi is going to release singles digital now means that piracy will be easier. The internet is already full of vinyl rips, so there
already was piracy, it's just going to be faster now. A real music lover buys the music anyways.

Piracy? Faster? There were rips of Return II Space floating around pretty much the day it got released.

what about the people who are NOT DJ'S ?? i am NOT A DJ and have no use to buy 20 dollars worth of plastic every time a tune comes out . digital makes it possible for people to enjoy music



vinyl only makes no sense, and only limits you from sharing your music with the world

good news for me, had to sell my decks and some vinyls i just can't afford to keep this habit.
