I want to get on one of the smaller ones next year, only managed to reach hop farm for dylan this year. I read in the paper that Green Man has never had a single reported crime (compared to 800 in a weekend at V).. either its a pretty chilled place or theyve got some next level police state set up.

Best small festival in the south of england IMO

I know about 20 people that went this year and they all said that they hated it. They felt intimidated and scared by most people on the site and ended up not going to see any music because they didn't feel safe. Apparently the music was shit too.

I can easily see why the music is said to be shit, to be honest. But they always used to throw on some dub, roots and a bit of the old stuff. The Beat, Lee S' Perry, etc - seen them all there. I wasn't really there for the music anyway, I went to see mates and do SWFA for three days
However there is no way you can feel intimidated at that festival, it's by far the friendliest, most relaxed and least troubled festival I have ever been to and I hear other people say similar things.

Well I haven't been myself, but all of the reports I have heard were that the sort of tattooed rowdy biker type folk were there, getting into fights, drinking 24 hours a day and generally being intimidating. My friends did not enjoy it at all.
