But, yeah British food is seriously terrible, a sarny and Fish and Chips get old after about 3 days. Pies should have fruit filling, not meat damn it!

British food can and should be massively varied and extremely nice - fresh seafood, summer veg, proper cheese, smoked bacon, soft fruits, sausages, ham, roasts, game, proper mustard, pies, chutney...

What is shit is a) british supermarkets and the complete lockdown on most food shopping that they have and b) mainstream british restaurants - probably because staff and premises are improbably pricey and also because most people who buy cheapish food don't give a shit how it's cooked provided it comes with chips.

Complaining that british food is shit is like complaining that nightclubs in London are shit when you only ever go to Tiger Tiger or something...

So did I, I had to spend an hour in the bathroom of a coffee shop soon after, worst yet I had an interview lined up moments afterward. The chicken tandoori and a lentil dish I had was kind of tasty, it just didn't taste so well coming back up.

I just don't get the Indian taste, everything tastes overly spiced, such that you can't taste the actual contents of what is in your meal, but then that may be the objective after all. Its like people who smother gravy or ketchup on everything, gross. I'm used to Mediterranean cuisine, where the contents of the meal are highlighted and spices are only used to enhance, not mask.

I have an Indian associate, and colleague but after what I endured I'll never try it again, my stomach is incredibly sensitive and even now I have like these tremors in my abdomen just remembering it.

I'll take my Japanese Curry house crap, thanks.

my mates fam does a nice goan curry but I still prefer a commercial chicken tikka masala from the curryhouse down the road
