i'm sacking the bus by the way, cos there was literally just one person who wanted on for definete outside my own circle of friends. no point in spending a load of cash on a bus for just a few folk.
there be a couple of spaces in my car if anyone fancies, so gimme a p.m. if you want a lift.

Mind if anyone is getting the train you can bag a group ticket if there is 4 of you. Works out about half the price!

just got back from the pinch/distance night at bongo.
Was pretty heavy (although the first dubstep night i've ever actually been too). Crowd were pretty cool too, but a bit shy to begin with. Gravious plaid a pretty cool laptop set, but he had the volume down a bit low which kinda sucked. Monochrome continued on the laptop well and really got the bouncing starting and Pinch was excellent. I was, however, a little dissapointed with distance.
It's ovbious the man can make some good tracks, but having the DJ pull back almost every single track he was playing (some of them twice) is pretty lame. He also managed to accidentally stop one of his decks and pretend it was a rewind, and then start the wrong track and suddenly switch back! Did manage a bit of a recovery at the end, playing some really heavy tracks and getting the crowd bumpin.
Audience weren't hearing anything about being kicked out at the end, so distance and pinch kept playing until the bouncers came and turned the decks off .

Definitely going to see if I can locate tickets for any of the other nights this weekend in glasgow.

PS: Pity these things don't come to edinburgh more often, no?

that was a heavy night! gutted im missing dmz,, that bass made me think i was going to fall to bits, sound system partys all the way!

aside from the three of us getting into it with half a dozen muckers on the way home along argyle street... tonight killed it. eliminators and pokes, you are gods!

Gutted I missed the DMZ, but Thursday night was a winner from start to finish.
The small dubstep world continues to throw up wierd coincidences, ended up at an afterparty of sorts at the flat where BenjyBars was staying. Nice. Out to Gyto as well, always good to find people really into dubstep in Edinburgh, there ain't many of us.
If the DMZ night was busy hopefully the electric eliminator nights will really start to kick off. I'll try and make the next one for sure.

Went to Kode9 on Friday and DMZ Saturday. Had a great time at both but the DMZ guys are really in a class of their own. The Classic Grand just wasn't built to take the kind of punishment the Mungo Hi-Fi and 100 skankers can do. The needle kept lifting off the deck with the amount of movement coming from the crowd. That crappy little plywood barrier almost got torn down when they pulled 50,000 watz (is that what it’s called?). Still pulled off a belting show dispite the pish venue.
Sgt. Pokes is a fucking born comedian. Effortlessly cool geezer with magic patter. When the security eventually cut the power he was banging on about them being sizan!
If that's the average standard of show outside of F>W>D I have to get my arse to London to see what the home town gigs are like. Has anyone arranged a bus or anything in the past?

DMZ in Glasgow was stunning, easily one of the best DJ sets I've ever witnessed. The lighting was brilliant, and checking out the mixer/queing up the records with a lighter was a nice wee touch. Loefah's set was amazing, dropping his remix of Jah War was one of the highlights..quite surprised that he held it all together, what with the hefty amount of green that was clearly being choked down in the booth hahaha
