ok what i meant by next was weird...like not all there. Basically just seen him outside a dance one time just staring at me blankly. Not clocking or screwing just staring. He just had a weird air abt him, i didnt chat to the bre, didnt hav anything to say to him. Forget i said anything, for all i know he cud be bless. Peace

i met coki for the first time a few weeks ago and he was a well sound guy, I just asked him if he had any new dubplates on him and asked about how someone had broke in to his car. But yeah, whoever said about benga is damn straight, the man brought me a drink at fabric haha.

Since when has not having tunes released had anything to do with lazyiness! Coki is a madman, cant wait for the LP...

I remember seeing him and and chef standing at the back of Ram I think it was. This was just after goblin was released so proceeded to congratulate him on the release and chat shit about how the tune is sick blah blah. After a long pause from him all I got was......"what have you been taking". So he's now gone from one mysterious guy who makes sick music to being a tnuc who makes sick music.....basically.

Yeh I know what you mean. Me and a few heads tried chatting to him at DMZ once and he just darked us. I really rate him as a producer, but he aint the nicest bloke. Benga and Skream are blessed though, always up for a chat. Benga especially. Such a humble guy.

lol that's so strange. All I've heard is bad things about benga. A mate of mine went to talk to him at a why not about some production video he put up and all he got was " quick mate get in the picture" and then blanked him and walked off. Another guy I was chatting to about benga said he met him at the house party in Brighton and was pretty full of himself and just acted like dick in general. Again though it is probably down to time and place and how someone is feeling at the time. Its probably more likely that my pals and I are DJ feinding wankers haha.

Just remember that you meeting him is probably a bigger deal for you than it is for Coki. He probably gets pissed up/pilled up total strangers in his face on the regs and sometimes can't be arsed. I ignore my girlfriend most mornings to be honest and I've known her 10 years.

I once chatted to Coki for like 15 minutes, the one time dmz was held at Corsica Studios. He was the nicest guy! I didn't just go up to him and tell him how amazing I thought he was, I asked him some genuine questions about music and his production style and stuff. I remember him saying he doesn't mind people coming up to him in the dance and talking about music, and how he thought it was good to stay in contact with the fans.

This. Pilled up people can be annoying at the best of times, let alone when you're actually a big name, I imagine at most raves he'll get a least a dozen gurners right up in his face telling him how amazing he is. And from what I gather, he's more of a laid back stand in the corner with a spliff type, the polar opposite of stim heads.

But yeah you can't really make a judgment on someone on one encounter, without knowing what mood they're in, people they've been harassed by that night etc.

I know I couldn't handle random people coming up to me tbh

not sure about this one tbh but im sure if i heard it in the dance it would go off!

Coki's tunes are just built to go off on a system. I wouldnt even bother to buy alot of them as playing them at home or dropping them myself at a dance just would have the impact that they have when he drops them to a big crowd of heads.

Horrid Henry is sick when ive heard coki / mala drop it but i wouldnt drop it myself cause it just wouldnt be the same.

i cant totally agree with u man, when i hear someone that is mixing online, dropping a coki tune, i totally rinse out behind my computer most of the time lol.
can always appreciate his tunes, even when the crowd is more intimate and there are not many heads around..

but at one point i understand u, its just a massive feeling when u know ur with lots of heads at same party and everyone is going nuts on coki's tunes ..

gotta say though when i heard horrid henry for the first time, i thought it was tree trunk by coki, its like almost the same tune
yes, he uses lots of same patterns in his productions, but thats just coki's sound and i like it !

nonetheless much appreciation too coki!

The only time I met him he was busy chatting / play fighting with the most pilled up person there the whole time
