Re: DSF Freeware VST Contest #2!
I dont have enough time to get in on this one but Ill definately be participating in the next, debating it with ya alpha, it raised my interest a bit!
Quite aggree with what stelth elf was on about cutting back the plugins n stuff. I think we could definately do it on a trial basis and if things become TOO restrictive or it causes the popularity to fall, we can make adjustments.
As said, dont wanna limit the newbies, but at the same rate, fi they dont feel confident, dont enter!
Looking forward to hearing what everyone turns in on this one though, and seeing what the next ones like!

Yes mate! Now is the time to experiment with changing the format slightly because the comp is so new and we haven't yet established what works best. The break and synth were so easy to use in this one I got lazy and actually think I might have made something more polished with more restrictions. Pretty happy with the melodies I got going though...we shall see if I can beat the 4 votes I got last time...Basic A wrote:I dont have enough time to get in on this one but Ill definately be participating in the next, debating it with ya alpha, it raised my interest a bit!

Im not terrible gutted by the breakbeat, taking me away from my sample folders is enough, even though I synth alot of my drums, I still archive them to a directory, but, I can most def. aggree that restricting the drums would shake things up a bit as well! Too many producers these days cant even tell you how to make a hat... would encourage them to experiment more.paravrais wrote:Yes mate! EZ all!
Don't forget: deadline's day after tomorrow. Got a bunch already and they sound fantastic. Time to get out the polishing cloth and snap them puppies into shape.
And as for tinkering with the format: I'm all about evolution and am totally open to any and all well-thought out suggestions.
Alright you lot - chop chop!

Haha, no blazing any more although it is true I used to be quite partial...my producer alias used to be sativa breather, I think that says it all XDalphacat wrote:No worries. Lol. Your welcome to try and start one yourself but it aint gonna be easy to find the plugins/support for it. Nothing against the idea if it could be easily done mate!tavravlavish wrote:paravrais wrote:It's already been covered in this thread and the last one as well.
