Yo! Was just having a browse and saw this thread, and thought id whack the tune i just finished up here! Same reasons really, havent bothered with the dubs section as unfortunately I dont dig chainsaws. God, making music you enjoyed would be so much easier if you just fucking love chainsaws. Fair play to em lol

But anyway, this is about a 120 bpm housey thing based on 2 days spent watching documentaries. Just imagine a woman with a british accent talking about a "bold new discovery that may force scientists to change the way they think about..." or whatever. Then hopefully wiggle to some bongos!

Will have a listen back through the thread when im back home!

Vulvavibration: Big up man that last one was sick! That kind of stuff is what i listen to most at the minute!

Think this thread needs to be busier by the way, the main bit for getting feedback is wack

Anyway I made 2step beat so thought I'd post it up in here, think it's pretty much done.

Been playing about with this over the last couple days, would quite like to get some feedback on it. Never really Sidechained a kick to subbass before so dunno if its worked as well as it could.

I tried experimenting with a changeup from dubstep-type grooves to four-to-the-floor. I like the way the 2-step sounds when it's at a slightly lower tempo, and thought it might give the track more "oomph", spacing the beats out a bit more.

Let me know what you think!

@arctic

second song is a banger. needs to be longer tho with a couple more drops.

@benq

that is some serious production. good track.
i dunno if others will agree but i reckon but the drop at 2:54 could use a heavier bass to fill the gaps a bit more...

heres my new bit:

Jackg, i really like the 'entired' track. Around the 50sec mark though the sort of tom/bassy hit might be a bit overpowering. That might just be my room though, having it reverberate a little too much. And the drop after the bit of silence around one and a half mins might do with ahving a little bit extra going on. not to much at all though, because obviously you're not going for that but yeah, I was sort of waiting for something with a bit more I guess. I really like the feel of the track though, I really really do. These are only little points that I thought of for the sake of feedback you know?

The other track is good for other reasons, less to say about that i just really like it. Nice one man. Would sound really great on a big system I reckon.

Benq, this is a pretty minor bit of feedback but I really like rolling rimshots in your track. Haha.

Vulvavibrations, really great production in your stuff as always.

There are some really good tracks in this thread. Thought I'd put a couple up in here because I've not really got much feedback in the dubs section in the past. Plus my last two productions are at a way slower tempo than 140.

Okay so here's a techno-ish track, 'Factor One':

And this one's a remix I've done of a song called 'Child' by a band called Anna Lena and the Orchids.

Any feedback would be really appreciated. Thanks guys, great idea to have a separate place for housier tunes for feedback.

huge tune mate... i can feel the acid vibe in there! bring back the acidhouse! anyway: i'm not very sure at 1:12 it's a huuuuge bass sound - but somehow id doesn't fit into the conept of the track. especially because you have a different (acidish) bass just before... and it doesn't evolve to that second bass it just changes after the little break at 1:09-1:12 you could do a whole new track with that second bass - because it is indeed a lovely sound

it has indeed a lot of energy! made me dance a little bit in my room (got a quite strong soundsystem) could do well in a set i reckon - just give it a little more concept as a whole... :)

wow - nice choice of vocals first of all!

good work on the percussion. but the mixup sounds a little bit raw imho. take down the kick a littlebit (few db i suppose)... 2:36 is great! right timing for this great change! love the bassy percussion going on and complementing the main rythm. good work on that.
good thoughts on this one. maybe try to chop the vocals a bit more - maybe some more space with delay or here and tehre a long reverb on the vocal..
nicely pitched down the vocal in the end! <3

i'm liking the multilayeredness of your tracks man.

good work! :)

my next one is defintly on the house/techno side of things but with a big dash of dubstep i guess... 125bpm

Clifford: Drums are pretty tight but think you need to have more going on than just that synth sound, tune gets quite repetitive after a bit. The drums are good though!

Vulva: That track is banging! Not much else to say on it really!

Did some dubstep/house thing at 130bpm

Peace
