This isn't a personal calling out thing, but funk me, people need to open their minds and realise that one way, isnt the only way..
No, because I saw it in general. I was hyped up to go buy it and then saw it was someone on the dvd who has only been around for 5 minutes. I only buy it for the dvd so it was disappointing. Then it had some shite house samples. I am not the only person who finds it appauling - there was 3 people flicking through it when I was and we all had a conversation about it... One said "whos this fassy man witha mask on" which made me crease. I don't dislike that whole circus thing with a passion I just don't think they deserve mainstream exposure, yet.

I find what you said very insulting and extremely funny.

Fuck off "shite" house samples, theres a goldmine of possibilities within those drum packs, same as every other CM dvd.

:p: MJ had been making music for at least 15 years previous to that.

Maybe they should rename it Computer Music's Old Ass Producers who only use Analogue and Hate Computers Masterclass.
The begrudgery in here is huge.. Lads lets face it, Funtcase probably has a larger following than any of us in this thread combined.

At least the Masterclass wasn't Rusko showing us how he made Scareware. big respect to Rusko and all that but i've never heard Funtcase produce something that lazy..

May look into this, always interesting to see the different techniques successful artists use when approaching their music

as for that song. sorry i cant picture this standing the test of time, theres no music in it. just like an disjointed aggro sequence of wobs and sound effects.
Sounds like 90% of the dubstep I hear to be honest - what a miserable sod I am! :)

i really dont get all this hate towards funtcase, just because some people dont like his music doesnt mean you have to come on a forum moaning about it, the reason they picked funtcase to do the masterclass thing is probably because more people will of heard of him, and to the people that think he has no musical talent are wrong, he can play various instruments and his dnb is pretty good.

rant over

im not a fan of that kind of dubstep but i can appreciate what the artists are doing well some of them

tbh, there was WAY less funtcase hate in this thread than I'd expected.

i know that but still theres still the underlying fact that people feel the need to talk shit about him, if you dont like his music dont listen or bother commenting on stuff associated with them because all thats going to be said is hes shit or whatever

the majority of dubstep and DnB is made using the vengeance sample packs which are largely marketed as house and trance - don't judge a book by it's cover - there are some beefy samples in that pack - although I'd avoid the hats - most of them are just Kicks with a lot of high end!! haha.

i'm sure there are probably samples in there that *might* be useful but i got tons of stuff already so no need to go trawling through them.

personally, i love funtcase, i haven't seen the dvd. Obviously it's not going to be for everybody because alot don't like the heavier side to dubstep, which is a personal opinion. You can't please everybody.

And to say stuff like you should have been producing for 10 years to be considered a master, i dont agree with this at all.... you can master a skill in FAR FAR less time than 10 years... maybe from day 1 of producing dubstep he has set out to get the sound he is now well known for.... in other words, hasn't he 'mastered' that sound?
