If you want to have a career making music you need to learn a lot of theory and learn how to play an instrument or three. That being said, going to a production school would probably make you a miserable producer. If you really love music then you should consider taking some theory classes and keyboard/piano lessons. Maybe some drums or guitar too. Or cello. Or this:
