Really impressed with your wip. Breaking away from the norm and doing something different panned out for this track. I dig it. Finish the track! and PM me when you do haha.

SB ftw! it could take a little while to finish, i've got a ton of work to do on it, but i'll make sure to let you know!

ok, i'm just being a dick, but for real, it says please give feedback on THREE tracks before posting yours. You get what you give (mostly)

@russ867:
Pretty nice song, maybe turn down your trebble a lil, kind of whining in my ear at higher volume. Bass is fat though
@MB616:
I wont lie i was bored at the begining. But around 1:00 i was getting into it and liked it the whole way through. Good bass, lovin the trebble in the middle and outro.
Clean up the wobbles a bit and itll be solid, hit me up with that when its done bro.

russ867 - good, enjoyed listening to it, i think the kick drum can be a bit punchier. strange sounding wobble but cool. try and mix up the repatitive lead chords.
johnst - relaxing strings and crazy drums, liking it. It's well produced and awsome sub.
grimesynicade - the intro is a good atmoshpere build up, nice wobble but it's lacking energy. still great.

@ Sub South - I presume you want feed back on your tune "demo-1" ?
I think its very good. Build up is good, great drop! Wobble then is class! From here just maybe get rid of the wobble for like 8 bars and just have a sub bass, then drop everything and start Build it up again and drop that same wobble with something else over it...like new Hi Hats or something? Just re invent it a bit

Cool track

Bolsty: Sick tune! Very mellow and chill. Like the percussion and vibes.
Maybe add some vocals to it or something?
Traffikz: I normally don't like this kind of dubstep, but gotta say that this is great tune.
Maybe add some more percussion to it?
Max4beats: Vibes man! Absolutely sick tune, don't have anything in mind you could add to it..
Maybe bring kick up a bit?
Here's my latest tune I've been working, lemme know what you think:

@Akkep- Very nice hats in the intro, i like the background sweeps too, kind of like cars going past a window or something. Your drop is just pure weight, very nice, got me nodding my head and all the samples youve used fit in really well and add to the kind of spooky atmosphere. The little congas? are the only thing that seems out of place to me. It's my opinion but they arent quite pitched right, they clash a bit with the bassline notes. Anyway, really nice tune mate.
@Subsouth-like the glitchy noises at the start, and the sample before the drop is just sick. I'm not really one to listen to wobble but this is nicely produced, it seems a tad tinny to me though, maybe add a bit more low-end? Nice tune
sorry run out of time, third person will have to wait but heres mine-

Figure I better start posting some feedback if I want to get in with it on this forum and try and put out some of my own stuff, W
Not the best at production but hey, learning and listening is how you get better I guess.
So, first one, working backwards.
Akkep.
Very nice, feels smooth, the sorta sitting in a car driving around sorta vibe. Its nice and thick and the samples are epic. Only thing I dont really seem to like is theres no hook, it sounds like a song that could go on forever to me! Other than that tho I love it!
Hutyluty.
That intro is rather epic, nice! Perhaps a bit too much reverb? May just be me tho! Love it from 2.20 just rather epic!
Max4beats.
Also loving this, great vibes. Just feeling it. Samples work in my oppinion and just add to the sorta vibe im getting from the track!
Hah,
Only listened to the last 3 tracks but the bar is rather high here, I like guys, keep it up I only hope can get some stuff as good as you guys!

MTA 7388 – Bliff
The pads and the double bass sound is muddy and sounding muted, maybe try using a better quality synth / sample or take some distortion off (if you're using any). I like the reverb on the drums but wonder if there's a little too much? You've got a nice melody going on but i think the double bass sound is a little too repetitive, the drums may be a little too dominating for the vibe of the track and the atmospherics/swirly sound building to second drop are a bit too loud in the mix. I think a quieter and clearer mix would help accomplish image BUT I'm loving the vibe though!
Sub South – Demo 1 :
Nice arrangement; organisation of intro sounds. Kick sounds a bit woody; as does the snare which in itself is difficult to hear. Try using less reverb as the track seems to appear too washy/unclear. Limited variation after the drop seems to halt the potential progress of the tune. I know you asked for negative feedback so I hope this helps!
Akkep – Ittolak :
Great sound pallet, and I really like the track. Try bringing some of the incidentals down slightly in the mix, would help give a better shape to the existing stereo placement. Other than that, good job!!

Fatach: is your drop at 1:21? i can see what you mean! dude i think your problem could actually be solved pretty simply. just by looking at your soundcloud you can see that there’s absolutely no dynamic change throughout the whole song. meaning, you just have to remove/turn down elements before the drop so that the drop has a purpose. maybe try high passing that bass and high passing the drums a little? or just use quieter, airy pads instead? also, have you subtractive eq’d everything? it usually helps me to make things sound louder. i can see this being really cool, it just needs that shock value on the drop. good luck man, feel free to ask me about anything i said!
ok, yeah, I know, not a lot of dynamics.. I don't really know how to solve this...and also I want to make it sound loud so maybe I over-compressed everything (makes sense?)
ok, i'll try HP all that, maybe that'll work...
subtractive EQ??
maybe the problem is that the sound before bar1 of the drop is too loud is comparison with the beginning of bar1?

ahhh yes. you have much reading to do

. read the mastering/mixing thread. like 16 times. look up stuff you don't know, ignore the pointless/alpaca comments. believe it or not there's actually a lot of good stuff there. also, download and read the eq tutorial in the first post of this thread:
fuck, my computer won't load DOA right now, just search "dogs on acid eq tutorial". it'll be the first link and the first post on that thread.
basically, the more unnecessary sound you remove (subtractive eqing), the louder everything else gets. there is only so much loudness (headroom) that you can get out of a track, so when everything is too loud, it sounds soft. a bit counter intuitive, but this tut should explain alot.
let me know if there's anything that doesn't make sense.
for not, anything that shouldn't have a low end, just high pass. this is in regards to things such as high hats, airy pads, cymbals, leads, basically anything you can cut off the bottom frequencies of.

Back for my third person, and as you seem so upset it can be you Johnst
I like the percussion movement at the start, it's a bit juddery but I suppose that's what you were going for, nice rhythms, reaally nice rhythms. The top synth is a little quiet, it's kind of getting drowned out and the main synth at 0:57 is a bit sparse, try sticking more reverb on it or something. You've got some great ideas here, could be a very very nice track, i still can't get over the beautiful rhythms, and the last bit at the end was unexpected to say the least!

made me jump
