Yeah, I'm thinking reaktor, but I'm thinking of adapting something that already exists.
Honestly though, you could do this right in flstudio.

With Midi OX? Coz I don't know how to set multiple ranges in FL to multiple samplers.

I can't really think of any thing in reaktor that use a simular method to this of the top of my head, also just had a look in the user library, and can't find anything to mod
I do know, about how to use midi in reaktor, and know how to send midi from reaktor to other software/hardware, I might (most likly not) be able to make something a bit like this with lots of fucking about. Maybe get Tim exile to help you, he is the man when it comes to reaktor. Even if I think the finger is pretty easy to make. You just use the keyboard output, then connect them to turn efx's on/off, or am I missing something.

Don't think so, I have played with midi so many ways in FL, and have never came across a way to do this. With a Vst then it's possible.

Yo man - I've been loving these vids since I saw em a while back. HUGE>>>>
Yer stuff with Nongenetic is dope (I do beats for the ShadowHuntaz too).... and your midi controller stuff is so next level it is sick!
Keep it up.

hi Mad !
Thank you, nice to find you here.
@Nowaysj @3za
We think about a vst version, its not so much works. Cause our faderbeat device is really simple, more simple than most of small max devices, if you are looking for a introduction to that kind of environment, rebuilding this patch with the free version of Usine http://www.sensomusic.com/usine/ or Reaktor must be easy, i can provide a screenshoot from the "inside" of our device. Max is very well implemented in live and not so expensive according possibility, but Usine free is more than powerful enough for a beatfader design.
I don't know if these guys trigger the sample when the fader moves into a zone --YES
or if the sample is triggered, and the zone determines which sample it is --NO but this could work with Live only
Yes the sample is trigged when the fader pass over a "control point", thats why is more close to drumming than controlling an appreciator. " But its not only 16 sounds when you go from left to right, its also 16 others when going back to left. Also the speed determine the velocity ( in the sampler more velo = more reverb or another sample layer...)
If a "counnter" is added, hitting few time any of theses control points increment a list of midi notes in place of few time the same note. the list could be reseted by crossing other selected control points.
There is a amazing ensemble from Christian Björklund in the Reaktor library, maybe you can adapt it to ad our direction detection and the speed to velocity tricks? without it, thats already works in a similar spirit. But its bigger piece of patches and have other great options, he is currently working on a version for maxforlive !
So without MAX would it be posssible to select multiple samples (oneshot because I wouldnt know how to trigger loops without automatic stop) with the fader via range settings in midi? I don't have MAx on my machine at home.
We only use oneshots, no loops. Following your idea i just try few midi tricks using only Live, but i didn't find something that works yet.

Your creativity is inspiring! Many thanks. And besides a great project; great music too.
I'll have a go with usine. touchscreen beatfadrism FTW

If I was doing this, I imagine I would set up some drum samples on the faders, and just start jamming a beat. Then pick out some bass samples, set them up on the faders and what not, just start to build up. But I'm curious how you do it.

Do not speak ill of my bitch. I can't fathom incorporating speed and what not, but you certainly could trigger samples with a fader in fl.

@nowaysj
any succes for beatfadering in fruity? a usine patch must do the job.
i have some troubles to make a vst from max 5. it seems its cause i have only maxforlive, not a ful maxmsp, noway to use the "Build Collective, Application, Plugin" menu.
I haven't looked at max in ages. They abandoned pluggo right?
Like max 4 live + ableton is not expensive enough...

Yeah, I have something, but not of my making. I've been pulled off of it for the time being, it's one of (too) many projects I have going right now. It is made in synthmaker, so presumably it is gatherable as a vst. I'm trying to decide whether the vst itself should hold and play the samples, or if it's enough for it to be a midi vst, and let it trigger an external sampler like battery. The speed and direction of fader movement are not used at the moment, merely triggering samples as the fader moves into zones. Maybe I should put the work into providing greater functionality with the fader itself, and offload the sampling functionality to an external sampler.
I would be interested to see your signal flow and logic.
Also, I only have vertical faders, it's not as fluid as a horizontal crossfader, but they'll do

Can I get a link please?
Also turn your midi control by 90 degrees, instance horizontal faders

Hopefully the max4life forum will come to the rescue.

ingenious.
you could seriously mash up some breaks like that
and I'm loving the dilla groove you get off the joystick chops.

thank you sully !
@nowaysj i try to make sense with some details.
to start you have to reduce the 0 127 value from your fader to a smaller integer (no ",")
for exemple devide whts comme out from the fader by 16 (later it must be user configurable) , you get 8 value. 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
find a object like "change" to send the value only when changing from one to another.
use this value to make a note.
like this its already working.
to make direction detection use a " > " object connected to the last and current values. then use this value to ad 8 before making the note.
hahah, I'm laughing my ass off, you guys are so sick!
WOW. WTF WOW! Hahaha, I've never seen the padKontrol XY pad being rocked with so much swag! What have you turned it into? It seems you just use the XY and the knobs to GENERATE sound? Confused!!
