Perhaps that is why they want to see Burial perform?
Anyway onto my list. Not going to fuck about with loads of DJ's that half the people on this forum seem to think they have to like to be part of the club. Though i guess half the people who have put up lists haven't even been to raves before.
Heres mine:
Emalkay (definately one of the most skilled dubstep dj's yet doesn't get the credit).
Distance... For a bit of bassweight.
Caspa (His tune selection may not be the DSF cup of tea but he brings more energy to a rave than most).
Reso - If you got energy to burn, go see him play out.
Skream & Benga re-doing whatever it is they did new years eve 2011 in Nottingham. People moan about them being wasted but I prefer it when you know the DJ is actually having a good time.
Andy C (not dubstep but the mans godlike).
Youngsta.. Needs no explanation
The Others - Just because i like their (well now, his) music taste.
**OLD** Chase and Status (to those of you who can think back before they jumped on the mainstream bandwaggon... Their sets used to be unreal).
And I would finish off with Joker.
Yeah, there is no Mala, Vivek, Tunnidge etc. I go to a rave to throw some shapes, these don't tick the boxes for me on a night out.

This kind of thread is always going to be subjective - I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of Nicolas Jaar

I actually like Justice, but this list is the least diverse i think. why the hell would you want to sit through hours of the same shit, and then Deadmau5 to top it off, ugh. anyone in the world, and there's nothing special there

Least diverse?! Yeah because i'd put Borgore and Joker on par with eachother? Guess Deadmau5 is pretty similar to Skrillex aswell. Just because there isn't any pure sub producers/dj's doesn't mean it isn't diverse.
I'm not sticking up for the list by the way, Seeing, Excision, Datsik, Downlink, Borgore and Skrillex at a rave interests me about as much as taking a cheese grater to my left testicle.

im beyond sick of hearing this... have you ever even listened to the music your calling 'pure sub'??? Ive never heard mala or loefah use standard, 'pure sub' sine waves, and I havent seen a whole lot of people here posting dubstep at all, so they incomparable to the diverse, diverse selection listed here... And yeah, if you really are one of the people who have all music that isnt bro written off as 'pure sub' your sadly, sadly mistaken and depriving yourself...

I love Joker, Bassnectar is ill and has catalogue, but you have to admit that rave would be bad, not diverse, and basically hours of halfstep wompage plus dead mouse. ugh.
flux, datsik, excision, downlink, skrillex, nero, skream, what's the point.... and don't pretend skream's set would be much of a break from it, as of late.
