That story got to me; thinking back to dark times and, moments that seemed like I couldn't get through. Without music I wouldn't know what to do sometimes. Dubstep moves more than most music but, music that moves me can take me out of whatever bullshit I'm in and put me somewhere else. I don't know what else to say but, thanks to those who make music that is truly powerful.

I should wait until I sober up to see the proportions, but I Just want to say that Digital Mystikz combined with a nice, intensive jog has both given me orgasms (or near orgasms) and saved me from god knows how much unneeded emotional turmoil.
I once also gave a Burial album to a girl as a present.

Glad to hear that about your brother. Anti War Dub does have that ''it's good to be alive'' feel to it, doesn't it?
JK and Joel are enuff to drive anyone to the brink of suicide
Thanks again for all your kind comments. I will print the thread out and send it to my bro to relay the positive vibrations his way.

Bless up man. You get so involved in music sometimes forgetting just HOW much power it has. that you can make someone move w/ it becomse just a given-- that you can change someone's life w/ it-- it's amazing. ideally it's why we're all here, to even get close to spreading vibes that positive, that deep.

Blessings. They and of course many other people have changed so many lives.
This story is really thrilling. I am glad that it has "happy end".

What an amazing thing to happen, i'm all coked up. I'm really happy everythings working out, it's not very often these stories have a happy ending like it.
I hadn't felt excitement and emotion with music for a long time until I heard dupstep. I don't know if its because I'm just getting bored with drum n bass or if its that the type of dnb i listen to is just getting more repetative so not as exciting - but thats a completely different topic and i don't want to get into that on this topic.

^^^^Big up the saviours!^^^
I certainly didnt want to put anyone on a downer starting this thread,
I just wanted to let people know what a powerful and a positive effect music can have on you when things are bad.
As Mary Anne Hobbs says the late great Sir John Peel said its better than any drug or therapy your ever gonna find and he is totally right.
Never lose control of your mind just lose yourself in the music.
Peace.
