So that makes you crying about those identifying people as haters just as bad as the haters and those calling people haters?

No, the question was posed 'how about that bass cannon', and i said 'haters needed something to hate on in 2011" in regards to said question.

on a side note, you produced a rather bro-ish tune yet your mix was rather non bro-ish. It's not an absurd idea that people enjoy aspects of both sides of the same coin.
Which is why I said "I dont have a problem with the track or the selection" a few posts up.

Edit: regarding the tune, its just something I did a year? or more ago that I figured sounded good together. I don't take music that seriously. Shit, I haven't even logged on my soundcloud in months. shrug

you replied to that as if it was directed towards you when it was in fact an observation that it stirred up the haters with something new non skrillex related, a first for 2011.

moving on.

i think this whole thing just proves how the internet seeing all of this unfold live really gives people the wrong perspective of the situation. skream and benga obviously knew what they were doing. its my personal inclination to assume they wanted to show people what those kind of tunes sounded like on a soundsystem like the one at mass. i mean, did they not bring it up to mala or were they really that rogue? cmon people lets get real im not even part of the london scene and have never been to europe. give me a break.

the broadcast was redlining, yes, but i doubt it was that distorted in the room correct?

and funtcase is sick.

and lastly i DO agree that i wouldnt really want to hear those tunes on that night. it should be an outlet for other sounds than that sound. skream and benga doing that are pretty RUDEBOY but hey ive been been a tnuc on the decks before too. DMZ tho? lol its a funny situation to say the least but i really really hope this doesnt deter mala and the boys from broadcasting live but i feel it will. maybe dmz isnt the place for this but if not they should really produce a documentary so that whole scene doesnt get lost to people who can not make it out to witness these things. i would really appreciate the knowledge. i would link this new mala interview but i cant remember where it was at (will edit)

THANK YOU FOR BROADCASTING LIVE!!!

Caspa's replies are more eventful than skreams tbh. Caspa's pretty wound up about the term brostep.

lol caspaaaaaaa. to me brostep is the stuff that is insanely random rather than rhythmic

yeah but you're american you understand how out of control reeses got in dnb. being 'insane' is a calculated move by a lot of folk

theres enough terrible music that no one sub genre should be talking shit about another. There's equal amounts of terrible random shit as there is under produced snorefest shit done in the name of a 'minimal purist' notion. The dude trying to argue how complex a brostep drop is, is just as retarded as someone trying to rationalize a tune as 'deep' when it uses default ableton kits with reverb thrown on it.

brostep is fine. it's only problematic if you're playing a whole set of a brostep. a whole set of anything samey sucks.

the fact that any of y'all can get wound up over ONE TUNE says everything about y'all and absolutely nothing about skream, benga, funtcase, or dmz.

i bumped into mala on the stairs during S&B's set, or it might've been i can't remember. He did look kind of vexed but i assumed that was down to the technical problems. Either way 'Bass Cannon' doesn't exactly fit with 'Meditate on bass weight'. I've seen S&B alot so i know what to expect from their sets but I purposely didn't go to see them at DMZ because I knew they'd be playing loads of bangers and screechers which is not what I was there for.
