King Tubby did a dub called 'Conqueror Dub' with actual birds singing and mixing up tapes winding to sound like rats, sounds sick but I can't find it as I've got no headphones...

the wiggle baron wrote:If youre after released tracks that are doing something different, then theres already a chunky thread full of good stuff here:
http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=167366
But it sounds like you were after some homegrown stuff from people on this forum?
If thats the case theres still a good few names worth checking out! Off the top of my head I would recommend my man Phrex (on here as vulvavibration (lol) and he makes fantastic deeper, experimental bass music) also Be-1ne, Forensics, J-One (although now i say it, im not 100% hes a big forum head, still lovely music) and im sure some others ill remember later.
Theres also a couple of really good labels from people associated with the dubstepforum. If you dont know about echodub, its a fantastic label for releasing seriously deep, meditative bass music. Its run by 2 guys called DFRNT and King Slaff, both of whom post here (with the occasional free download!). They both make amazing music themselves, defo worth checking out...Then as well as that, theres a new label thats been started by some guys on here with a few familiar faces as artists too! Thats Fent Plate recordings. Definitely making movements these guys, such a fresh approach to the label, great music being released via digital so far, with I believe their first vinyl release hitting the shops about now! Check them out for real, some awesome artists on there, Kochari, macarbre unit, A-list, boxmouse (5:37 am outside the tube station is one of the best sounding pieces of electronic music ive heard!) Gnome, seizure...I could go on. Basically, check out fentplates

(Theyre free download album is a good start!)
Best of luck, it can be a long process sifting through all the dubshite these days but there is some gold at the bottom (or should that be top?) never fear!
Thank you so much for your kind words young wiggle meister!
All of our releases are here:
And if you're feeling anything then all of our releases are now at 40p. Trying to combat piracy by making the price of music so low that it is almost pointless to rip it!
