London isn't Britain. Obviously it's in it, but it's only a partekstrak wrote:'Buckingham Palace'

'St Jame's Park'
'The Mall'
'The V&A'
'Tower Bridge'...

All these things are fundamentally associated with the monarchy. are you honestly suggesting that Britain would be better off without such awesome heritage ?!
sounds a bit ghetto, I think i'd stay away from there if I was a tourist.jim wrote:ekstrak wrote: 'Hype Park'

I'm not even sure i know but theres something about my drive to work each morning coming from the E3 homeland, along the river then down the 'mall' and past buckingham palace that has really built my respect for what they as an 'entity' have acomplished and what they represent. dunno.. there's just something you cant help but be impressed by.obIwan wrote:p.s what are you going on about, none of those things rely on there being a Queen or a monarchy?!!!

what's changed?oceanzen wrote:I don't like the monarchy as it reflects a time when many were concerned about breeding, hierarchy, and status.
What does it mean? Being born into a fanily and being told you're prince or whatever, they don't represent the British people. Not with the queen's hubby saying don't spend to long in Eat Asia or you'll go slitty eyed.
Nowadays they just seem like another kind of celebrity. Famous for nothing.
And whats more they cost the British taxpayer money, Yes that big wad of tax taken from your wages goes to having the royal family fly round the world 1st class.
Just don't forget if it was up to some of their relatives, we'd have cooperated with the sizan.ekstrak wrote:I'm not even sure i know but theres something about my drive to work each morning coming from the E3 homeland, along the river then down the 'mall' and past buckingham palace that has really built my respect for what they as an 'entity' have acomplished and what they represent. dunno.. there's just something you cant help but be impressed by.obIwan wrote:p.s what are you going on about, none of those things rely on there being a Queen or a monarchy?!!!
