Haha sorry to disappoint you.

Yeh I've got to say my favorite mix at the moment is Youngman on Rinse fm where the MC was actually late.
Although I do agree that a night without out an MC would be lacking in energy. You need someone to keep the hype but as long as they don't over-do it.
Sgt. Pokes is good at this, I've never got annoyed by him.

Not always, been to quite few parties where there was an MC but not during every set and there was no lack of energy at points where the MC wasnt on the stage. It really depends on the DJs skills and tune selection.

I hate it when MCs just spurt shit over the music.
Total waste.

I was listening to a Mala mix the other day and one of the best tunes just gets destroyed by the MC.
Random, pointless, shit.
Either you rap some cool rhymes or STFU!!
Why would anyone want to ruin a good track with their impression of rhyming?

But I guess for each his own.

In theory. But there's a lot of ways MC's weasel their way into running their dicksuckers onstage (you like my Prolific slang? ;) )...

MC culture has always kind of inherently been tied to "battle" culture which came from gang culture, so there's more ego and territoriality and "rep" to defend/prove. It's unfortunately not uncommon to have MC's strong-arm their way onto the stage, sometimes with a little help from their thuggy chums.

Honestly: Picasso was arguably the biggest asshole egomaniac of the 20th century and even he didn't namecheck himself 1/10th as much as any current MC.

Perhaps not annoying, but when it comes to ridiculous lyrics I think Bassman is a clear winner.

'Heavy like a wah, satsuma'

'They call it dubstep' is clearly the winner.

I hate at the start of sets when they say '(djs name) with the intro'

MC's calling for the reload is annoying.
Leave it to the crowd or the DJ to decide when to pull it up!

"Come follow me, come follow me higher. Come follow me, come follow me up."

That tune + that MC = rick-roll material amongst my producing friends. :L
