Onetime I used my annual leave to test out a new work place, facebooked it, as all of my colleagues knew about it, but my line manager was my friend and he commented about my post verbally to people I work with, they commented on the post saying he said about it at work, so first thing I did, removed my line manager as a friend on facebook.

Job done, now I can chat shit all day without fear of anyone knowing about it.

yeah anything that can hinder your ability to chat shit about work, fuck girls you went to high school with, or call in a fake sick day should be removed from your facebook

Guess theres a lesson to be learnt here when it comes to what you choose to post on your facebook and/or who you have as friends.

You asked if this would fuck you over when it comes to applying for another job - it shouldn't. A standard work reference will just state the period in which your were employed by them, what your salary was, and number of days absent (amongst other things). By law they cannot state that you got fired, just when your employment ended so you'd just have make up an excuse about why you left, simple as that.

But hopefully it won't come to that anyway. Maybe her boss will see she's been a conniving bitch and give you the benefit of the doubt and let you off with a warning. So chin up!
