So to be a 'normal fucking human' in America you have to have at least $70/$80 a month spare cash? Interesting.

Is it true that they don't serve fries in American KFCs?

they serve potato wedges... chicken basket places in the US are served more like soul food eating in the US.... you have your chicken or catfish or whatever and then 2 or 3 sides, and biscuit or rolls..... And just as much attention is paid to the sides as the meat. Most places that do fish or chicken baskets ususally provide wedges or mashed potatos instead of fries.

Nice, just looked at the menu and it looks miles better than the shit they serve in the ones over here, although credit to KFC for the gravy they do here. I was going to visit some proper diners and things when I'm over, rather than these type of chain stores, but your KFC looks gooood. I'm gonna have to try some catfish when I'm over there.

Where are you visiting ?

The best 'chicken/fish basket" places in the US are usually local ghetto dives... If they serve fried okra, collard greens, black eyed peas, creamed corn bites, etc you're on the right track

yeah the bible belt and anything south is gonna have great chicken/fish places.

I usually get a combo if they have catfish. 1 piece of catfish, 1 piece of white meat chicken, 3-5 shrimp, collard greens, macaroni, 2 biscuits, and gravy if they have

Orlando. Ill be on the tourist strip so doubt it will have the authentic places but my brother lives over there so ill get him to take me of the beaten track. Dont wanna end up like those 2 brits who wandered in to the wrong neighbourhood no so long ago though.

Orlando is pretty chill... don't worry

But while you're down there you should have plenty of opportunities to sample southern fish places.

Theres a lot of posh wine and fish type places.... but i'd definately go out of my way to try and find a good ol fashion fried fish place

That's just the tip of the iceberg.

Trust me, that's not true (unless you all in the UK are glued to your texting screens, I have no idea). We have laws in the US that were written to prevent people from texting and driving; sometimes in public places it's hard not to see someone walking around texting who may walk into something.

Clearly we are ALL either glued to text screens or feeding on a bucket full of animal's limbs lol

It's not as if I'm struggling to pay my mobile bills. :H:
It fits the American salary just fine, even if it is overpriced.
