Yeah my mom's into it, then again she was a teen during the 80's, hails from the electro/freestyle scene, so it wasn't that difficult for her to feel the vibes. Most of the tracks she listens to has the vocoder, so the robotic aesthetic of some dubstep tunes appeals to her rather well.

Depends on the Dubstep......... My nan asked me to give her a CD of what I mix, she said 'it was very nice', so yeah (she's 86). She also said 'it's better than that Bass and Drum crap' (Drum'n'Bass)

I'm 49 and been checking it out for about year now, I like most of what I've heard so far, and not just the chilled out stuff!

its dope that some of y'all get to vibe out with your parents. me, on the other hand would probably fail at that with being hispanic (dominican specifically). there is no way my moms would dig the sounds, it would be completely alien to her. maybe my pops...i'll give it a try lol

My mom enjoys electro-house better (more danceable seeing as she was in a breakdancing crew back in the 80's), but if I put on poppier dubstep like Nero, Gemini, or any remix of a pop song, she enjoys it.

I've never showed my dad dubstep, but seeing how he has always loved hair metal and nu-metal, I don't think he would be opposed to brostep. I feel like deep things would bore him though.
