the channel is probably going to be bro-less. many of the people already involved are quite anti-bro.

yeah i went an hour and a half... got random at the end and my mixing was sub par cause it was tunes id never mixed before. but the recording is up on the channel anyway. thanks for everyone who listened. i think i might change my timeslot to friday afternoons here, so my e-friends in the UK will be able to listen.

We did this in Production (http://www.ustream.tv/user/dsfsessions) , me and my mate are the only ones who still actually throw an weekly and if I remember rightly, theres a way to broadcast another ustream channel from an account - if I can remember how to do that, we wouldn't mind streaming on both... We run through out website anyways. (wednesd4ry in my sig).

i wouldn't mind some bro stuff, I like it as long as it's well produced and not to over the top and stupid. As this is an off-topic NSFW forum the music selection shouldn't be restricted, if people aren't feeling it they'll leave. People are only on for an hour anyway and it's not the end of the world?

I don't think its the fact that we don't want people to play 'brostep' but if we just let everyone who wants to play brostep, I think we'd get fairly outnumbered.

Like we discussed yesterday, were keeping it for the ninjas and if we let every dom, dick and harry on the account then firstly, we'll simply be overrun I reckon and two, peeps can't be trusted! Not saying this about anyone in particular but like I said yesterday, if people know the ninjas name then sure thing...regardless of what they play but if we let anyone and everyone in then I think it'll eventually go down the pan.

RULES HELP REGULATE THE FUN U NO.

Disclaimer: This isn't being elitist. I just want to keep this fun for everyone whos already involved.

this basically

the great thing about ustream is that it enables absolutely anyone to stream whatever they want, so if people want to play their own thing then it's just a case of a few clicks and off they go. with that in mind what we wanted to do here was create a community channel, and for the most part that community knows what it likes, and it's fair to say most of us don't like "brostep". that's not passing judgement on it or anything as people are perfectly welcome to listen to whatever they like, but there's plenty of places to listen to tearout stuff and it's so easy to create your own ustream channel and get people listening

it's a tricky line to tread as it has the danger of being elitist but there needs to be some kind of selection process

personally i had worries about letting that ampmejujuju guy coming on and playing that death-core-doom-grind-shoe-scream stuff :6:

I agree man. It is a fine line between being elitist and just purely preserving what is already there.

And I am yet to play any grindcore on the stream yet. Was tempted yesterday when I got Enslavement to Obliteration out though.

Swear I will still do a grindcore set. :h:

I'd imagine it being the same with vinyl. You go from your mixer to your computer line in.

No. It's all built into uStream really. When you go on, you ensure your sources for both video and audio are set up correctly. Try testing it out with someone in the channel, get your levels right and ago. It's really easy, if you need a hand. Give me a shout.
